Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information Gambler Club collects, why we collect it and what you can do about it. We follow the fair-information principles of Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), and the comparable principles of New Zealand's Privacy Act 2020 for readers there.
Last updated: 5 October 2026.
1. Who is responsible
Gambler Club is an independent editorial comparison site, not a gambling operator. Questions about this policy go to [email protected].
2. What we collect
Information you give us. If you email us or submit feedback, we receive your email address and whatever you write in the message. Please do not send identity documents or banking details — we never ask for them.
Information collected automatically. Our servers and analytics tools record technical data: IP address (stored truncated or anonymised where possible), browser and device type, referring page, pages viewed and timestamps. Cookie-level details are covered in our cookie policy.
We do not collect special-category data, payment card data or player account data. We cannot see what you do on any casino website you visit, and we hold no gambling account information of any kind.
3. Why we use it
| Purpose | Basis for use | Retention |
|---|---|---|
| Answering emails, corrections and feedback | Your consent when you contact us | Up to 3 years after the last exchange |
| Aggregate site analytics | Consent through the analytics cookie | Up to 13 months |
| Security and abuse prevention | Legitimate interest | Up to 12 months |
| Meeting legal obligations | Legal requirement | As required by applicable law |
4. Consent
We ask before loading non-essential analytics cookies, and you can withdraw consent at any time by clearing cookies or adjusting your browser settings. Refusing analytics does not restrict any part of the site or change how we answer your emails.
5. Sharing and sale
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information with anyone.
A small amount of data is shared with service providers who host the site and measure traffic; they process it only on our instructions and under contract. When you follow a link to a casino, that operator's own privacy policy applies from that point onward — we do not hand your details over to it.
Where our providers store data outside Canada, transfers are protected by contractual safeguards, as PIPEDA requires.
6. Your rights
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct anything inaccurate, and ask us to delete it where we have no legal reason to keep it. Write to [email protected] and we will respond within the timelines PIPEDA and the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 set. You may also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of New Zealand if you live there.
7. Security and retention
We apply organisational and technical safeguards — access controls, encryption in transit and limited retention periods — to protect information from loss, theft and unauthorised access. We keep personal information only as long as the purposes listed above require.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our practices or the law change. The current version always appears on this page with its revision date.
