Casino Payment Methods
The payment method you choose affects more than convenience — it decides how fast your money moves, what it costs and how smoothly you can cash out when you win. This hub covers the rails that matter for Canadian and New Zealand players, from Interac to crypto. 18+.
The main rails at a glance
| Method | Best for | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Interac | Canadian domestic banking | Bank-to-bank e-Transfer, no card details shared. |
| iDebit | Canadian bank-direct payments | A bank-to-merchant bridge, similar purpose to Interac. |
| E-wallets | Speed and separation | Skrill, Neteller and MiFinity keep banking away from the casino. |
| Crypto | Fast, borderless payouts | BTC, ETH and USDT settle by network, not bank hours. |
| Cards | Universal acceptance | Visa and Mastercard are everywhere but often the slowest to pay out. |
| Apple Pay / Google Pay | Mobile deposits | Wallet-based, confirm with a fingerprint or face scan. |
Interac and iDebit
For most Canadian players, Interac e-Transfer is the natural starting point. The deposit runs from your own bank to the casino with your bank's authentication, so no card details are handed to the casino, and it typically settles quickly. iDebit plays a similar role as a bank-to-merchant bridge where a casino lists it. Both keep your banking inside your own institution rather than on a card network.
If Interac is your priority, see our casinos accepting Interac, which also notes which brands confirm the rail and which do not.
E-wallets and wallets
Skrill, Neteller and MiFinity act as a buffer between your bank and the casino: you fund the wallet, then pay the casino from it. Apple Pay and Google Pay are the mobile-first equivalent, using the wallet already on your phone.
E-wallets are popular because they can be quick to deposit and to withdraw to, and they keep your bank statement apart from your casino activity. The trade-off is an extra account to manage and, occasionally, a withdrawal restriction if the wallet is not supported for payouts.
Crypto
Crypto has become the fastest rail for many withdrawals because it settles on a network rather than through banking hours. Bitcoin is the most widely accepted, Ethereum settles quickly and USDT is a stablecoin that holds its value during a transfer. The catch is precision: a wrong address or network is usually irreversible.
If you plan to use crypto, our crypto casino list covers the brands that list it and the safety steps that prevent costly mistakes.
Cards
Visa and Mastercard remain the most universally accepted method, which makes them a dependable fallback. They are also, on average, the slowest for withdrawals, and card issuers sometimes decline deposits at gambling merchants even where the activity is legal. If speed matters, treat cards as a backup rather than your main rail.
Before you cash out
Match your deposit and withdrawal method
Many casinos require you to withdraw back to the method you deposited with. If you deposit by card but want to cash out to crypto or an e-wallet, check the cashier rules first — a mismatch is one of the most common causes of a stalled withdrawal.
Whatever rail you use, confirm the withdrawal side before you deposit: the processing window, any fees, whether verification is needed and any daily or weekly cap. Then check the brand's banking in our fast payout list and set a deposit limit. Never chase a loss. 18+.
